I am going to play him as chaotic good in the same way I think Ser Royland is lawful good.
Good does not mean nice.

I think I'm playing him as Chaotic Neutral. Gared is True Neutral, Mira is Lawful Good. Ethan was Neutral Good.

While I would probably agree with good, you have the option to rob a key and a seal from Margery. If theft isn't flat out considered morally wrong (even if excusable under circumstances), it at the very least is chaotic. Gared is more lawful in my opinion. Most men would refuse to join the nights watch like that, and revenge isn't an entirely evil act. At least, not in those circumstances. Hes more lawfull good, or at worst lawful nuetral. The only things you can ask lord Forester for are to honor his house, to fight for him, or say you desire nothing. Thats very lawful good behavior. I would agree with you about Ethan being nuetral good, but it is possible to play him as lawful good with a hard leaning towards lawful neutral.

I've never considered playing certain characters certain ways, maybe on a second playthrough, but for the most part, I just make split second decisions, not really "role playing" any characters in anyway.
I suppose on a second playthrough, I'd say "Chaotic Good" or something along those guys, but in general, I'll just be me, as with most other characters, I'll just make the choice that makes sense to me. So, probably not killing too many people(Lord Whitehill is going to fucking get it though), and not being too much of an asshole or anything.

I didn't take the key as Mira and I killed the Whitehill soldier who was begging for mercy. My Gared is kind of an opportunist, he does whatever seems like a good idea at the time or, at least, I'd like to make him go down that path later on.

AS I said on the other thread, chaotic evil. Playing as evil character is generally more fun, but other Forresters are just made to be good, or at least neutral. My Asher will be a vengeful killing machine, though.

For the record, chaotic evil doesn't mean "GRRR I kill babies" (well, it can, but that's an extreme). It means that someone is going to act mostly in there own self interest, not be altruistic, and doesn't have much respect for authority or tradition.
Smart Chaotic evil is basically Littlefinger.
Rage chaotic evil is potentially Asher forrester.

I only know little about Asher so far, but he does come off as a bit of a brute to me. That being said, I'll only have Asher be a brute when necessary, and to have him pick up where Ethan left off. Basically, I'll go for playing Asher as Chaotic neutral.
