Caught up now. The last episode was cool. Still just things that bother me and it's just a huge disappointment. I really wish they just hadn't made this a second season of the same show, especially because it's so very different. Now it's got to be compared to Season One, and Season One fucking crushes Season Two. On it's own, it's still quite good.
Although... anyone have any idea what was up with the music in the last episode?

Strange, also I am convinced that Velcoro is fucked, he is going to die, i'm sure of it. He has nothing to live for at this point, but then again I was so sure that Rust was going to die, but he didn't. I have no idea.

Dude, don't compare it to Season 1. That's the problem, most people compare it to Season 1 and call it shit. Anyways, Season 2 Episode 7 everyone... HOOOLY FUCK. RIP Paul, just when I started to really like the dude. LOLOL Frank was just being a badass the whole episode. What a fucking boss. I ship Ani and Velcoro, I guess. its noice i guess. Paul was a killing machine then he got fucked over by that Lieutenant asshole from Vinci. I bet he's the Birdman -- hell he could even been the guy who killed Casper.

It was most certainly a good episode, but I felt the ending could have been handled better. Obviously I didn't care that much that Paul got killed, he was always my least favorite out of the four main characters. I do like the idea that everyone is more or less fucked and death is likely for all, that bit I am a fan of and might end up loving the finale. But I didn't quite like the way he went out, I think it would have been better if those guy's just straight up killed him and he didn't get to fight back. Alternatively, it would have been better if he went out like in the Professional, as in he killed all those guy's and died from his wounds in the tunnel. The way it happened honestly doesn't make a lick of sense, so that guy just came out of nowhere and shot him? How and when did he know that he would come out of THAT ladder exit? But overall, good episode, I actually really liked Vince Vaughn in this episode, he really shined here, and of course Velcoro was once again the best, but I expect nothing less.

About as good as the other episodes I guess. Even not compared to Season One, it's nothing brilliant. Acting's good and so is the general production value, but the whole plot is just a big confusing mess with Osip and Chessani and even paying attention it's a fucking mess of names and events and places and it all comes hard and fast and the whole thing just needs to be a little slower or a little clearer.... It feels poorly paced and poorly presented. Didn't give a shit about Paul's death aside form the fact that it never felt like his backstory was resolved. Ray and Ani getting together was something I saw coming two episodes ago by now... I guess those are my two favorites, since aside from being "cool", I've never been given much of a reason to like Frank, and he spews more bullshit than the other three together. His scenes were cool I guess, but did he kill Osip, or just blow up the clubs and take the money?
Also, I guess Velcoro isn't going to be happy that Frank killed Blake, but whatever.

I have no problem understanding GOT plotlines, but this is just... messy. And yeah, didn't care for that death, hell I don't even think it was done well. I mean, where on Earth did that one guy come from? How did he know he would pop out of that tunnel in THAT locations? He should have just bled out in the tunnel, that would have been better.

Dude, don't compare it to Season 1. That's the problem, most people compare it to Season 1 and call it shit. This. Fuckin this
Loved episode 7. Frank's scenes were the best part. Guy's a badass.

I'd still argue it would have been for the best if this was never called True Detectives season 2, then it wouldn't have to be compared so much. But, HBO says they need to make this like American Horror Story, well, faults on them.

Season 1 got real popular, so s2 is getting lots of viewers thanks to that, even if it's getting worse reviews

True Detective has been, so far, unrelated between seasons.

I don't really watch AHS, but I know enough about it to compare, I would also say the TV version of Fargo is like that, but next season is all about a minor character from season 1, so that doesn't really count either.

Fuck this shit show. You don't kill Riggins, Riggins kills you.
Also that black guy in the tunnel meant NOTHING to me. Was I supposed to know who that was? The villains in this season blow spewing vag.
90 minute finale. Whyyyyyy. There's no way this is salvageable. The best character in TV history is dead and this is the most boring, convoluted mystery in the history of mankind. Hopefully it's just 90 of McAdams getting fucked.
Real talk, I have zero idea what the fuck the significance of the diamonds and the orphans are. If you put a semi-automatic to my temple right now and told me I had to tell you what the fuck is up with them, my synapses and cerebellum would be splatter all over the back wall.

The black guy was Holloway, the Vinci Chief of Police.... right? The guy who shot Riggings was the Lieutenant, I know that. The orphans were in the jewel store when the robbery happened.... They were hiding in the cabinets when their parents were killed. Caspere knew about the diamonds, and sent Dixon, Velcoro's old partner who got shot, some other random fucker(the lieutenant? I don't know...), and Holloway to go get the diamonds, and they were the one who killed the kids parents... Then fast-forward, Caspere is killed by someone for both his shares in the corridor. Osip, the mayor's kid, and some other random fuckers spread the shares, and Frank's money, among themselves. Someone who knew about the diamonds ransacks Caspere's place for them.... Then.... that girl, Irina, is selling Caspere's stuff..... so...... Fuck, I don't know. This is the most convoluted fucking plot ever. ._.

Yeah at a point I just started to zone out, and I had to look up a flow chat. It's needlessly convoluted shit to say the least. It's not season 1 was straightforward, but it was never this complicated, because there was never a reason to be this convoluted.
